This 10.5" blessed Brigid's Cross is handmade with rushes from the Hill of Tara, Co. Meath, Ireland by Dublin based Artist Laura Geraghty. Hang in your home to ward off negative energies. Brigid or Brighid (pronounced Breej), was known as the Creatrix and All-Mother in pre-Christian Ireland. Today she is known in Catholicism as Saint Brighid, or Saint Bride, of Kildare, patron of childbirth. The Hill of Tara is a sacred historical site that was used as a burial mound and ceremonial site from the neolithic to the Iron Age.
